Call for speakers

Web Rebels is back in Oslo on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 May 2027, and we're looking for people to put on stage. The call is open until the end of September.

What we're looking for

Web Rebels is a JavaScript and web conference. One track, two days, 16 talks. We like new ideas, strange experiments and anything that pushes on what the language, the browser or the community can do.

Some of the things we'd love to hear about:

Please, no AI talks. There are enough of those elsewhere.

Who should submit

You, probably. We especially want to hear from people who have never given a conference talk, people who are underrepresented in tech, and people who live in Norway. You don't need a well known name or a big open source project. You need something you know well and want to explain to a room.

First time on stage? Say so in your submission. We'll help you get the talk ready. We've done that for a lot of speakers over the years.

What you get

We cover what it costs you to come:

If your employer would rather cover your travel, tell us. Whatever we save goes back into the conference.

How it works

You can submit up to two talks. Write a title, a description and a few lines about yourself. The description is what we read most carefully, so spend your time there.

The programme is a mix of talks from this call and speakers we invite. Everyone who submits hears back once the line-up is set. Everyone on stage follows our code of conduct.
